Terms and Conditions

cancellations

If you need to cancel any appointments please do try to give as much notice as possible so that we may be able to use your appointment time for those not in regular treatment. All appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be charged at the full session rate.

Confidentiality

In line with standards set out by the British Psychological Society, your therapist will keep written records of your treatment.  These records are confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside of The London Centre team. The only exceptions to this would be if a member of your medical team outside of the London Centre such as your GP, Psychiatrist or specialist NHS team becomes concerned about your safety or the safety of another person and contacted us to break confidentiality. Secondly if specialist guidance were required and received outside of The London Centre team, anonymised details may be shared with an external Clinician. This will be discussed with you in advance. No details of your treatment will appear in your medical records without your explicit permission.

medical risk

We are happy to offer assessments to anyone who would like guidance and advice about treatment. We are a team of highly specialist eating disorder Clinicians, and as a result, we are used to seeing people with mild, moderate and severe eating disorders. However, as we are a psychology led service, we do require that anyone who is at medical risk is under the care of their GP or a Psychiatrist. If someone is very underweight (typically under BMI 14) we are happy to offer an assessment and to help you access the right treatment pathway, but we may not be able to offer you ongoing treatment. This would be discussed on a case by case basis in your assessment.

Please note that by confirming an appointment with us you are hereby acknowledging and agreeing to our full terms and conditions which can be downloaded.
