Radost Ruseva

Specialist Psychotherapist

Biography

My experience in supporting people in recovery from eating disorders began shortly after qualifying as a psychotherapist in 2018.Supporting people access the resources they have within to reach their full potential and recovery goals has been an invaluable privilege since. Over the past 6 years, I have held various positions within an NHS community eating disorders service, including managing an early intervention pathway. I believe early intervention and access to specialized support are vital to reduce the risk of long-term health complications, and improve recovery outcomes.

I have experience in working with adults as well as children, young people and their families. Alongside my experience in eating disorders, I have also managed general early intervention counselling services for primary school children.
Ensuring my clients feel safe and understood within the therapeutic relationship is paramount. I use congruence, therapeutic challenge, and practical tools to assist individuals in finding a more genuine way of being that facilitates living a life aligned with their values. I utilise and tailor evidence-based approaches such as CBT-E, MANTRA, and FT-AN to support individuals and their families overcome eating disorders and body image issues.
When I am not at work, I enjoy travelling, yoga, and spending time outdoors in nature.
