Lauren Aron
Specialist Psychotherapist
Biography
My name is Lauren Marie Aron and I have a passion for treating clients that have a disordered relationship with food and body. I have been working in this field for the last 6 years in inpatient, day-patient and outpatient settings both in the UK and in South Africa.
I originally trained in clinical social work in South Africa and combined this with a strong desire to work as a psychodynamic psychotherapist. I went on to complete my Masters in Psychotherapy and have since trained in Transactional Analysis and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which gives me the ability to integrate different therapeutic models according to client need, interest and experience.
My aim is to provide a supportive and non-judgemental space for clients to share their current difficulties and to find their inner strength. My clients can expect an authentic and warm relationship with me, coupled with a full commitment to come alongside them on their journey to recovery. I would love to see a change in the way that we approach eating disorders in London and around the world, with early intervention being the highest priority and more accessible care for all.
I moved to London from South Africa in 2020 and I have loved exploring the city and getting to know my new home!
