Dr Ailen Sol

PGdip, BSc, Specialist Clinical Psychologist

Biography

I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2018. As a registered HCPC Clinical Psychologist and CBT and EMDR therapist, I have extensive experience supporting young people and adults with a wide range of mental health presentations in both the NHS and private practice. My main areas of interest are eating disorders, body image concerns, attachment difficulties, and trauma.

I am passionate about early intervention for eating disorders, as well as helping individuals who have faced significant life adversities that may have contributed to the development of their difficulties. My approach is compassionate and integrative, always tailored to each person’s unique needs. I use evidence-based therapies with a focus on understanding the beliefs and early experiences that might underlie and sustain the eating disorder. Together, we work to make sense of these patterns and explore ways to move toward a meaningful and fulfilling life.

In addition to my work at The London Centre, I also work with an NHS eating disorder service in Central London and am completing an additional doctorate in Psychology Applied to Cognitive Neurosciences, where I am researching the social cognition of individuals with complex PTSD.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, travelling, playing football, and spending quiet moments at home with my cat.
