Cliona Brennan
Specialist Child & Adolescent Dietitian
Biography
I am a registered dietitian, specialising in child and adolescent eating disorders. I have worked within this field for over 5 years. My experience spans across child and adults, and NHS and private care. Within my role, I work with clients suffering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and ARFID, as well as undiagnosed or unclassified disordered eating.
I am passionate about providing evidence based nutritional interventions for my clients, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Expanding our evidence base and knowledge on eating disorders assessment and treatment is imperative to improving patient care. I am actively involved in research in my specialist field and am currently undertaking a study which will evaluate the use of our National guidance for managing eating disorders across London services, with the aim of improving assessment and management of patients.
My approach is collaborative and client centred. I work with my clients to support them in their recovery, and feel that developing a strong therapeutic alliance is key to working together to achieve goals.
